When natural disasters strike: 

Through our EyeMed Cares program, EyeMed members impacted by natural disasters can get temporary glasses, replacements for damaged or lost materials, and free expedited shipping from Glasses.com and ContactsDirect.com. Employees in affected areas, who are not EyeMed members and need financial assistance to obtain eyewear, can reach out to OneSight for local support. When a global pandemic appears: 

EyeMed Cares has grown beyond natural disaster relief to include aid for employees impacted by COVID-19-related furloughs and layoffs. It works on a national scale to easily enroll previous members in EyeMed Cares. Former EyeMed subscribers are mailed a custom member packet to their homes. The member packet provides details on an exclusive network of providers who have agreed to provide a significantly discounted eye exam and savings on out-of-pocket costs with fixed costs on lenses and frames. 

When you want to Donate for Good:

Working with OneSight to bring vision care to people in need, we’ll be launching our Donate for Good program early next year. We’ll set you up with posters, collection bins and everything you need so you and your employees can donate, collect and ship used glasses for recycling. For every pair, we’ll donate $5 to OneSight. That donation will go directly toward providing eye exams, glasses, and permanent vision centers for the people and places that need eye care the most.
