To help EyeMed members impacted by COVID-19 reductions in force, we are enrolling them in our EyeMed Cares plan
As a result of COVID-19, we understand that many of our clients and their employees have been forced to make some very difficult choices, including choices that may result in EyeMed members no longer participating in a vision benefits plan. At the same time, vision correction needs are critical for many of us to carry on with our day-to-day lives. Our EyeMed Cares plan is one way EyeMed is making a difference. Through 12/31/2020, former plan participants impacted by COVID-19 reductions in force will be eligible to save through the EyeMed Cares plan.
EyeMed Cares plan
The EyeMed Cares plan provides the following:
- Fixed exam fee of $50
- Fixed cost of $50 for single vision lenses
- Fixed cost of $135 for standard progressive lenses
- Fixed lens options: $12 UV coating, $12 tint, $35 polycarbonate, and $40 standard anti-reflective coating
- 35% off a complete pair of glasses
Former EyeMed subscribers will be mailed a custom member packet to their homes. The member packet will provide details on an exclusive network of providers—including those closest to their home—who have agreed to provide a significantly discounted eye exam and help them save on their out-of-pocket costs. This includes thousands of providers from our Advantage Cares network, including LensCrafters, Target Optical, Pearle Vision and independent providers.
There is no cost to participate
EyeMed is covering the cost of the EyeMed Cares plan for both clients and former plan participants. The member will not be asked to provide any membership fees for participation and will only be responsible for out-of-pocket costs for their exam and materials after receiving services and/or making purchases.
